BrandAlley UK partners with Fashion Capital

Leading etailer BrandAlley UK is continuing its support of emerging fashion talent in its second partnership with Fashion Capital to find the perfect Evening Black Dress.

Following the phenomenal success of last year’s Little Black Dress competition, BrandAlley and Fashion Capital joined forces once more to challenge UK based emerging designers to create the perfect range of Evening Black Dresses. The competition creates a fantastic opportunity for designers to be seen by the 3 million unique visitors on BrandAlley.co.uk every month.

This year ten dresses from ten designers have been chosen from hundreds of entries by an esteemed fashion panel of journalists, stylists and bloggers. These final ten dresses will be sold exclusively on BrandAlley.co.uk from 8th September to its members. Fashion Capital provides unrivalled opportunities for new and emerging designers, offering support with production, marketing and business advice to help them break into the highly competitive fashion industry. This made them the perfect partner for BrandAlley which is also proud to support British manufacturing, with all the dresses being made at Fashion Capital’s London-based factory.

BrandAlley Marketing Director, Melissa Littler said: “We are very excited to be working with Fashion Capital for a second year running promoting and supporting such remarkable UK fashion talent.” She added: “The entries this year have proven what fantastic designers there are out there
and we are thrilled to be able to showcase another bespoke collection to our members this year.”

Fashion Capital director Jenny Holloway said: “Working with BrandAlley on this innovative Evening Black Dress competition has been amazing for our new and emerging designers. We have searched nationwide to find today’s most promising designers resulting in an exciting mix of contemporary dresses. This is a great showcase for the next generation of UK talent.” The Little Black Dress competition last year led BrandAlley to create a year-round platform for burgeoning fashion talent, Le Lab. Launched in the UK and on its sister French site BrandAlley.fr, Le Lab allows designers to create profiles that can be viewed by over 9.5 million BrandAlley members and the best pieces are chosen to be made and sold through BrandAlley’s websites.
