Lee Jeans announces London Fashion Week collaboration with design duo PPQ

Lee® Jeans are proud to announce a London Fashion Week collaboration with design duo PPQ.

PPQ’s coveted drainpipe catapulted the duo into the fashion spotlight a decade ago. To celebrate their 10 year anniversary the label has joined forces with heritage denim brand Lee® to collaborate on their denim looks for their highly anticipated SS12 show.

For the SS12 show, the duo will rework some of Lee®’s most iconic womenswear silhouettes, including the super sexy Scarlett jean and the iconic Lee® Western denim shirt. Lee®’s DNA remains strong throughout the range, as PPQ have customized Lee®’s successful denim styles using a combination of screen print techniques, embroidery and embellishment.

The PPQ show will take place on Friday 16th September at 20.30pm where four looks will incorporate the one off designs.

“We are proud to be collaborating with PPQ for this London fashion week, we feel that our crafted denim styles strike a perfect balance with their directional and innovative styling, we feel that what is on the catwalk and for sale in the Lee® store is something fun, accessible and on-trend, we hope that fans of both brand will enjoy the collection”

Nadia Kokni – Lee® Head of Consumer Communications, EMEA.

“The Inspiration for the denim collaboration with Lee® is taken from our PPQ crest, the screen prints that will feature on the denim are an amalgamation of the gold PPQ initials in our logo, all of which will be present in the form of embroidered patches that will feature on the Lee denim Scarlett and denim shirt block”

Amy Molyneaux - Creative Director PPQ

Two styles from PPQ’s show will land straight into the Lee® Carnaby Street Store the following day on the 17th September 2011, offering consumers the chance to buy a limited run of just 10 pieces carefully handcrafted by PPQ’S production team.   A bespoke London Fashion Week window will also be unveiled co - curated by Lee® and PPQ to celebrate the pieces landing in store.
